Lauri thrashing with the crowd 17th July 2010: Sound clips online!

There's just been added a new Sounds section here at the site, check it out for some thrilling tasters of Solitaire's recorded work.

"Extremely Flammable" and "Invasion Metropolis" CD's are currently sold out at the Ektro Webstore, but hopefully there's gonna be some more copies available again soon.

Meanwhile feel free to contact Battle Cry Records, the original label of the aforementioned releases and ask for the remaining copies of these albums.

24th June 2010: New live dates confirmed

A couple of new shows added to the Gigs section...

Solitaire will play at 5th Bonded By Metal happening in Tampere on 23rd July. The gig will take place at Dog's Home live & music pub.

The band will also play at Helvation Festival in Helsinki on 12th November. This festival is organized by Disentertainment and it will be held at Dante's Highlight.

Happy New Year everybody!

The Solitaire Calendar 2010 is sold out and no longer available. Live pics from the band's gig in Lappeenranta are now online at the Photos section.

Also check out the Gigs page with a couple of adjustments -- Solitaire's show at the Metal Merchants Festival in Oslo is changed to be on Fri 29th January instead of Saturday plus the dates for Hammer Open Air festival in Lieto are now confirmed and Solitaire is scheduled to play on Fri 11th June.

3rd Dec 2009: Solitaire Calendar 2010 available now!

Here's something new & cool for you to stick on the wall...! A brand new Solitaire Calendar 2010 is now available exclusively here at The Official Solitaire Homepage.

The calendar is sized A3 (30cm x 42cm) and it includes a full color page for each month, plenty of new band photos, Solitaire family tree and a month by month Solitaire history right from the early stages of the band up to the present day!

The price for the calendar is 15 EUR / 25 USD including the postage and shipping. Please contact riku@solitairemetal.fi to make your order. The edition of the calendar is very limited, so act fast to get a copy of your own!

1st Dec 2009: Site Update

New Solitaire live shots are now online at Photos section. Also there's a show in Lappeenranta on Sat 12th December confirmed at the gigs and links are also updated with one new "Predatress" album review and some other new stuff worth clicking.

More Solitaire news will follow later on and in the meantime, enjoy the beginning of Christmas season!

29th Oct 2009: New photos online

The site has been updated with a brand new Solitaire photo album. Check out the Photos section for some shots of the band hard at work in the rehearsals and hanging loose on the freetime. Live photos from the first couple of gigs with Solitaire's current line-up will be coming up next.

Also, we've worked out some goofs and bugs on the site regarding the use of different web browsers and it should be much better now.

17th Oct 2009: Solitaire in Hammer Open Air

Solitaire is featured on the bill of Hammer Open Air Metal Festival which will take place on 11th and 12th June 2010 in Lieto, near Turku, in Finland. The exact schedule of the festival is yet to be confirmed and details on this will be added later.

The festival is put together by Finnish underground gig and tour organizer Kold Reso Kvlt, more info on their activities is found at KRK website. Also check out the Hammer Open Air website for the festival's amazing bill!

30th July 2009: A gig in Sweden for Solitaire

Solitaire will be travelling over to Sweden on Sat 24th October for the band's first Swedish gig ever. This show will take place in Sandviken at Bryggeriet Metal Club. More info on the club and details of the gig will be found at Bryggeriet MySpace site.

There's also another confirmed live date -- Solitaire will play in Helsinki on Sat 19th September at Darkside club.

23rd May 2009: Helsinki gig moved to Kouvola

Solitaire's gig at the Metal Warning Festival has been relocated to Kouvola. The festival will take place at Donington Rock Club on Fri 30th plus Sat 31st October and features Manilla Road from USA as headliners.

16th Apr 2009: Solitaire in Norway

For the first time in the band's career Solitaire will travel to Norway to play a gig at Metal Merchants Festival in Oslo. The 2 day event takes place on Fri 29th / Sat 30th January 2010 and will be headlined by US Metal legend Omen. Tickets for the festival are available through www.billettservice.no.

This festival is also the first confirmed Solitaire live date outside Finland since the band's appearance at Rock Am Éislek festival in Luxembourg in 2006.

13th Apr 2009: Solitaire -- The new line-up!

Solitaire is proud to announce the band's new line-up! In addition to long time guitarist Waaqqu and the band's founding member and frontman Riku the band introduces two new members, bass player Lauri Perttula and drummer Rippe Rantanen.

The previous rhythm section of Mikko and Kalu got sacked from the band last December right after the release of the latest Solitaire album "Predatress" due to not having enough time for Solitaire anymore.

Solitaire is currently breaking in the new line-up and more news on the band will follow later.
